West Point Is Drilling 6.57 g/t Gold Over 66 Metres in Arizona
West Point Gold is putting some serious numbers on the board in Arizona. Hole GC26-148 at the Gold Chain Project's Northeast Tyro zone cut 66.2 metres of 6.57 g/t gold — and inside that, a screaming 20.7 metres at 18.25 g/t Au.
West Point Gold (TSXV: WPG) is exploring the Gold Chain Project, where the NE Tyro zone is emerging as the main event. This wasn't a one-hole fluke, either. GC26-168 returned 56.4m of 4.24 g/t Au, including 28.9m at 7.77 g/t, and GC26-169 added 51.9m of 2.5 g/t Au, including 21.4m at 4.72 g/t.
The bull case writes itself: high-grade, wide intercepts stacking up hole after hole, with drilling now extending the high-grade NE Tyro zone to roughly 350m depth. Depth extension means the system is still growing.
The risk: these are exploration results, and a zone that is open at depth still has to be drilled off before anyone knows how big it really is.
