Tocvan's 581 g/t Ag Hit Lands 900m From the Mill — A New Feedstock Zone With Q4 2026 First Pour Already Permitted

On July 23, 2026, Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC, OTCQB:TCVNF) announced discovery of a new high-grade silver-gold zone at surface at its 100%-owned Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico — sitting 900 metres east of the company's already-permitted Pilot Facility.

Hole JES-26-152 returned 1.5 metres grading 2.16 g/t Au and 581 g/t Ag within a broader 9.2-metre interval of 0.43 g/t Au and 109.68 g/t Ag from 27.5 metres depth, per the company's July 23, 2026 news release. The same hole also intersected 35.1 metres of 0.16 g/t Au and 41.15 g/t Ag from surface. Three of the four holes drilled at the new zone returned significant near-surface mineralization. Additional holes yielded 4.6 metres from surface grading up to 0.52 g/t Au and 98.12 g/t Ag, and 38.1 metres of 0.13 g/t Au and 16.72 g/t Ag from surface.

Per the company's July 23, 2026 news release, the new zone lies beside existing road access, coincides with a strong soil anomaly, and is confirmed by historic underground workings that establish a vein system. The 50,000-tonne Pilot Facility is already permitted — its 10-year pilot mine permit was secured in August 2025, and a 6-year Community Agreement was executed in May 2026 — meaning no new milling infrastructure is required to feed material from the new zone.

CEO Brodie A. Sutherland commented in the company's July 23, 2026 news release: "We are thrilled with these drill results confirming a new high-grade silver-gold zone at surface just 900 metres east of our permitted Pilot Facility. The standout intercept of 1.5 metres grading 581 g/t silver and 2.2 g/t gold, along with consistent near-surface mineralization in multiple holes, highlights the strong potential of this area. With construction advancing toward first gold-silver doré production in Q4 2026, this discovery provides an excellent opportunity to enhance our near-term production plans while benefiting from existing road access and low development costs."

For context on where this zone sits in the broader project: Gran Pilar covers over 21 km² in Sonora. The new discovery sits roughly 1,000 metres northeast of the Main Zone. On July 9, 2026, Tocvan entered a definitive agreement with Colibri Resources Corp. to acquire the remaining 49% interest in the two original Pilar mining concessions — a consolidation move that tidies up the joint-venture structure as the company approaches production. Gran Pilar has now reached 5,000 metres drilled to date.

The most recent quarterly cash figure on file, per Yahoo Finance as of July 8, is $60,630. That figure, set against the Q4 2026 first-pour timeline, makes pilot revenue or a financing a near-term necessity. Sutherland's own characterisation in the July 23, 2026 news release — "low development costs" and an "excellent opportunity to enhance our near-term production plans" — is the basis for the new zone's framing as a potential feedstock source without new infrastructure.

The broader market backdrop for the week ending July 24, 2026 was mixed for the sector. Gold declined 1.78% for the week, per Clearbrook Global's weekly market commentary. Silver peers saw activity in the ingested market snapshot: Kuya Silver (KUYA.CSE) gained 8.1% to $0.67 on 480,000 shares traded, and Guanajuato Silver (GSVR.V) added 6.5% to $0.49 on 620,000 shares. The Russell 2000 has advanced 19.4% in 2026 per AP reporting, outpacing the Nasdaq's 9.8% rise, as small-cap and value rotation continues.

Tocvan is targeting a maiden resource estimate in 2026, with pilot facility construction progressing toward first gold-silver doré production in Q4 2026.
