Aldebaran's Centauri Raised C$25M to Push Rio Grande Toward an IPO
C$25 million is real firepower in this market — and Aldebaran Resources (TSXV: ALDE) just helped its subsidiary raise it.
Aldebaran and its majority-owned subsidiary Centauri Minerals announced a C$17 million brokered offering of subscription receipts through TD Securities, alongside a concurrent C$8 million non-brokered offering — combined gross proceeds of up to C$25 million, expected to close around July 20, 2026. Centauri's primary asset is the Rio Grande gold-copper project in Salta, Argentina, which carries an April 2026 NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate.
The upside case: this raise does double duty. It positions Centauri for an IPO — a potential value-crystallizing event for parent Aldebaran — while funding an advanced drill campaign at Rio Grande. Having TD Securities lead the brokered piece lends institutional weight, and gold-copper in a defined resource is exactly the profile generalist money is chasing.
The risk: subscription receipts hinge on closing conditions, an IPO is never guaranteed, and Argentina still carries jurisdictional risk that can swing sentiment fast.
Big raise, IPO in the crosshairs. Watch Rio Grande.
